Individuals can write their own letters or modify the letter below:

Dear Representative XX,

I am writing to ask you to support House Resolution 128: Supporting respect for human rights and encouraging inclusive governance in Ethiopia. The resolution notes some of the outrageous abuses of human right perpetuated by the Ethiopian government. It notes the Ethiopian government’s subversion of democracy, suppression of free speech, and some of the atrocities that have been committed against Ethiopians who have committed no crimes.

HR 128 will put the United States on the right side of history, expressing support for the rights and values that Americans take for granted. The right to express your political opinion and the right to vote and have one’s vote counted and respected.

Sincerely,

[Name and address]
